What's the maximum speed I can get with **** DSL?

The maximum speed you can get with *** DSL is <b1.5Mbps (768Kbps in certain areas) in the "downstream" direction (information coming to you, such as Web pages or downloaded files) and 128Kbps in the "upstream" direction (information you send to others, such as your outgoing emails). Most residential users need much greater "downstream" capacity than "upstream," which explains the speed difference between the two.
